Lol- I know it's an entry level camera but I'm struggling enough learning so much new stuff.  I needed a simple camera.  Learning it, and Movavi video editing software, YT, etc..  I've think I've aged 10 years in the past month!

Entry level camera means your camera lacks many advanced features.  One feature it lacks is Movie Servo AF.  This means the camera will not track subjects in movie mode, keeping them in focus.  YOU must press the shutter whenever you want the camera to refocus.

Thanks for explaining Wadd, I appreciate you.  I never used a camera more than $100.00 bucks.  I'll be 60 this Sept. & proud of myself for learning a new camera, photography, video, Movavi video software, and YT.  I tend to struggle when I'm learning new stuff.  A 10 year old would have figured out everything in a day!  I have to see if Movavi has a wonderful community like this.  Have a Blessed Day.

Susie,

The white box may be a magnifying frame.

Look at pages 164 and 154 of your manual.

Try hitting your display button a couple of times. Or hitting your + button.
