Using Canon T6 as a video projection device.

Hello:

I teach Vets fly tying and I'm trying to use the camera to project on the TV while I'm tying. I'm trying to use my T6 as a video projection device. I have the Mini HDMI to standard HDMI cable. I'm able to get the video to project into the TV but after 25 seconds the shutter clicks and turns off the camera.

Can this be done?

Hi Dan,

Try the following steps.

  • Put the camera in movie mode.

Brian,

Thank you to the solution. I should have known there was a setting somewhere that was causing the problem.

I appreciate the help

Dan

Well since a T6 isn't designed to do what you are wanting I suspect it is overheating. You might try the suggestion above but I doubt it will work well even if it helps. There is a built in time limit for video in all Rebels.
