T5i - Video recording creates a white dot on the video

Delta1Seven

When I record videos, there is a small white dot (pixel size?) that is in every video in the same location.

This issue only happens in video mode, not in any of the photo modes. At first I thought it was a dead/stuck pixel, but wouldn't it display in photos as well?

Here is a video showing the issue. It's the white dot in the lower part of the frame, just left of the center.

You may need to go full screen to see it.

Hi Delta1Seven!

Welcome to the Canon Forum.

What this looks like is a stuck pixel or a hot pixel.  This can happen if the image sensor heats up after recording for a while.  Does the pixel appear when you immediately start recording after the camera has been sitting powered off for a while, such as overnight, or does it appear all the time?

If this is a time sensitive-matter, additional support options are available at Contact Us.
