T3i Camera stopped saving pictures- Recording... images remaining: 1

Karol

I have a Rebel T3i

The SD card when problem began is a 32GB SanDisk SD Ultra PLUS - Class 10

I have been using this card for 3 months.

Camera stopped recording video.

Now it won't record any images.

I take a photo and remaining images count flashes [9999]

If I turn the power off,  a message remains on the screen with a blue spinning circle that says "Recording.... Remaining images: 1"

No matter how long you wait, that blue cirle remains, and I have to open the battery compartment to stop it.

I thought it might be that the SD card had gone bad so I purchased a new 16GB SanDisk SD Ultra PLUS - Class 10

I formatted the card and tried to take a photo.

Same result.

Help!

I am having exact same problem on my T5i

I have tried 7 other memory cards.

Before this first happened, these things happened in recent history, I don't know which might be a cause.

1) switched out camera lens

Karol, whatever happened to your situation?

This thread is nearly two years old.  Do not expect a reply from the OP.

Whenever I see messages similar to "## images remaining", is when my cameras are in mulitple exposure [HDR] mode.

I ended up sending it in for repair. After I got it back it did it again (6 weeks) so they repaired it again.

It
has worked great ever since.
Good luck!
