Hi,
For some reason my shutter fires but stays locked and I can't get it to open back up unless I turn the camera off. I've tried recharging the battery clearing settings, but am unsure how to fix this. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Check in the custom settings to see if you have mirror lockup enabled.

Does the rear screen display an image, too? Make sure you're not in video mode or Live View, too.

" I've tried recharging the battery clearing settings, but am unsure how to fix this."
If you did truly reset the T6 the other above suggestions won't make any difference. Let's do another full reset. Menu, tools and clear all settings. Also clear all custom settings. If this doesn't fix things you need to call Canon for a service order. 1 (800) 652-2666
