I currently have a 5DIV and an EOS R and am wondering if it would be worthwhile going for a second R as I shoot a lot of video. (Sending in the 5D IV for the C-Log upgrade would mean a lot of downtime plus still no peaking on the 5D).
I’m just wondering if this is a bad idea as sometimes I do utilise the higher burst rate (& it’s accompanying AF tracking) - something that the R is lacking sadly.
I’m not sure if it’s nostalgia nagging me in my mind to hang onto the classic tried and true DSLR as I’ve had every 5D since the beginning.

If you shoot a lot of video, maybe consider an actual video oriented camera as a second body rather than a still image device with video capability?

"I’m just wondering if this is a bad idea ..."
It is either way.
"I shoot a lot of video."
Buy a real video camera. Doesn't you think that makes more sense?
