SL2 shutter issue with off camera flash

My canon SL2 would stop closing its shutter after a while when I shoot with off camera flash. It always start out fine but after an hour or so it would act up. The shutter would just freeze in an open state. Switching between live view and view finder would not help closing it. Not even turning off the camera or switching to different modes. The ONLY thing that would close the shutter is to release battery and put it back in. I’m new to issues with camera so I may have used incorrect terms to describe it. Hope someone with more experience can give me some insight. Thank you for reading.

Not sure if it makes a difference but it’s godox ms300 and it’s a monolight from what I understand (not a speed light). I do use live view with it.

You may have come across an incompatibility with the Godox/ Canon combo.
