Replacing broken shutter EOS 1V

Sanchofilm

Hi,

I got two EOS 1V and unfortunately the shutters have gone bad on me.  Given this is a discontinued camera. Does Any one know where I can get this serviced properly?

Thank you for the help.

The EOS 1V was sold brand new until just a few years ago. Canon had stock of it long after manufacturing ceased. So a 1V is not necessarily "old". Parts may not be as unavailable as it's being made out to be.

Canon still lists the 1V as in-service, but does caution about parts availability.

So canon service might still fix shutters?

If they have the parts they should accept the bodies for repair. Contact Canon Service Center.
