Removing Circle in Viewfinder // R3

This circle in my viewfinder has mysteriously shown up... and I need help removing it.

Eye control is off.  Spot metering is on... but, I've changed the metering types and it doesn't remove the circle.

Anyone know how to remove this thing?

@Bradlarsen00, the only time I have that circle in my viewfinder is when the Eye Control is active. I would check one more time and make sure the setting is saved.

That resembles the camera level display … minus the bar graphs.🤷‍♂️

You say it's in your viewfinder, but what you are showing us is the back of your LCD screen.

I believe that the circle you are seeing in the center of your screen is that you are in either spot or partial metering mode. Those modes only meter a small part of your frame in the center. That circle doesn't show up in Evaluative or Center weighted averaging modes, because they meter the entire frame.

I have a T8i, which is diffe4ent from your R3, but the only time I get the circle in my viewfinder is when I am in Spot metering. I don't get it in my viewfinderwhen I am in Partial metering.

Good thought Steve, I completely forgot about the circle with metering and just watched this video....doh.

It appears center weighted and evaluative meter models remove the circle.
