Firmware Feature Request: Manual ISO Control in Av/Tv Video Modes

Dear Canon Support & Product Development Team,
​I am writing to submit a feature request regarding the video recording functionality on Canon #R6V #R6iii cameras.
​Currently, when recording video in Av (Aperture Priority) or Tv (Shutter Priority) modes, the ISO setting is automatically locked to Auto ISO, without the option to select a fixed/manual ISO value.
​For camera operators, videographers, and content creators, this limitation severely restricts creative control over exposure and noise levels. While Manual (M) mode is available, having the flexibility to lock a specific ISO value while allowing the camera to adjust only the aperture or shutter speed automatically is a crucial tool in dynamic lighting environments.
​This is a feature that a vast part of the Canon video community strongly requests. We kindly ask Canon to consider releasing a firmware update that unlocks Manual ISO selection in Av and Tv video modes.

Just so you know, this site is made up of regular users, just like you. You might contact Canon Support or submit a Feature Request as Rick suggested.

Just as an aside, I have a T8i, and my camera behaves the same way. If you shoot video in Av or Tv modes, the ISO is automatic. You cannot manually set it.

Have you tried FV mode? That might do what you want, since you can lock or modify any setting.

(oops, does not look like Fv is available in video modes)

TheR6 Mk III does, but only for still photos, not video.
