EOS R5 Mark II Allow to remove "Basic Shooting info" in Viewfinder Shooting Info via Firmware

Hi all.
I have customised the "Screen Shooting Info" of my R5 Mark 2 and have bene able to get a totalyl clean UI.

I removed the: Basic Shooting info, Detailed Shooting Info, On-screen Buttons, Etc...

This gives me a clean UI to compose, frame, observe.

The shooting info (Shutter Speed, Mode, ISO, IBIS, Battery, etc...) appear only when holding the shutter (they disappears after the chosen "Metering Timer") so info is there, just not all the time.

There seems to be no way to get the same "clean UI" in the Viewfinder (unless I missed it)
The "Basic Shooting info" always appears in VF and can't be removed.
Given the smaller size of the VF a clean Ui is very much needed, more even than for the screen.

The feedback for the Canon team I give is to let us also remove the "Basic Shooting info" when customising "Viewfinder Shooting Info"

Viewfinder Display Format n°2 is not helping solve this issue at all.

For the viewfinder the three possible displays can be cycled through by pressing the INFO button while looking through the viewfinder. Note this is independent of the LCD screen display.

The first EVF display is the least congested, it cannot be further refined with the INFO button. You can further remove the focal length that shows up if you go up one level to the Shooting info. disp. then choose Lens info display and disable the focal length display. The other shooting settings like shutter / aperture ISO are actually outside of the image area when using the EVF.

I am aware of that and it doens't fix the problem

The "Basic Shooting info" can't be removed in VF.
As I said : "Viewfinder Display Format n°2 is not helping solve this issue at all."

Like this?  The exposure info only appears when metering is active.

Try resetting your EVF settings to factory defaults.

I have reset all "Shooting Info" to default.

The "Basic Shooting info" always appears in VF

The "Exposure Level" appears when metering is active ONLY if I set "Vertical Exposure Level" else it always stays visible in VF alongside all the other "Basic Shooting info"

I don't see a solution beside Canon allowing to remove "Basic Shooting info" in VF

.

When my metering timer expires all I see in the EVF are AF points, which can be disabled.

I don't knwo what I am doing wrong.

I see all the "Basic Shooting Info" all the time even after resetting the settings.

Are there any other settings that could affect the EVF Info and make it to stay there all the time ?

I assume that you are using the Camera Reset menu to reset the camera.  After you reset the camera, what happpens next?  Are you re-entering all the same settings that you had setup in the camera prior to performing a reset?  If so, then that defeats the purpose of resetting the camera.

I have everything unchecked.

This is what I see in the EVF (using Canon manual example) when metering expires.

Screenshot 2025-10-05 at 14.43.19.png

"Basic Shooting Info" is still Visible and is taking up a % of the EVF surface/space/pixels

This is what I need to have in EVF  (this result I can get in "Screen")

Screen.png

So no "Basic Shooting Info" no icons in the EVF when metering expires: 100% of the surface/space/pixels of the EVF screen shows what the lenses is seeing.
As for "Screen" the icons in EVF should appear ONLY when metering active.

If this is doable then how?

Please share your setting saved to .CSD so I can apply the same settings you are using because nothing works for me.
