Rebel T5: Can't import photos to MacBook Pro

Cyndee

Hi!  I haven't used my camera for a year now and just took it out for an event.  When I went to import the photos to my laptop nothing happens....  Everything is connected and I followed the steps I've always done in the past.  Don't know what's wrong.  Is anyone else having this issue?

Image Capture is an Apple app in your Applications folder:

Double click on the app icon and you should get this:

Connect your camera, turn it on and see if it appears under Devices.

Do you see your camera when you open Image Capture app?

I don't think I have the image capture app. I have the Picture style editor and the digital photo professional apps.  All my other ones are grayed out.
