I was shooting at a sporting event with my R7 and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM (slide out zoom) lens with adapter. During the shoot, the lower half of the EVF went black. I didn’t do anything other than tracking and shooting (didn’t try to remove the lens while the camera was on or anything like that). The rear screen works fine, and the photos are still full frame, so it isn’t the sensor. I’ve tried shutting down and removing the battery several times, once keeping the battery out overnight, but it still only has half the screen. Has anyone run into this type of problem? I’m hopeful for an easy fix, but I am afraid it’s going to be an expensive trip to the camera doctor…
