I am trying to update the firmware on my R6 from 1.6.0 to 1.8.2. I'm able to get to the "Firmware update program" screen and see 1.8.2 on the menu for about a second, before i'm able to select it and it crashes and drops me out of the menus altogether. I've downloaded the correct firmware twice, tried multiple freshly formatted cards, and tried the update through the camera's menus and the EOS Utility. It's failing at the same screen each time.

I found the answer in an R5 thread. Seems the issue was that I was attempting the update with the grip attached to the camera. I removed the grip, so that it was just the body, and the update went smoothly.
