Hello I have a r50 and love it . Issue is that when I’m done using it and I go to pick it up few days later it won’t turn on . I’ll put in a fresh battery off the charger and it will come on . The battery that was in it was 100% charge . I did take it to Roberts in indianapolis and recommended oem batteries. I did buy 2 new batteries and it still did the same thing! I take pics for a local high school and I use in on the weekends mostly . Thanks Brian Crowe

Hi Brian:
It is not recommended to leave the battery in the camera when it is left idle for a while. What could be draining your battery quickly is WiFi and Bluetooth being turned on - they will drain the battery quite quickly.
Also if GPS location is enabled, turn that off too.
See how that goes. If, after a few days you put the battery back in and it has issues, call 1-800-OK-CANON to talk to a technician

Thanks for the tip ! But the battery that was in the camera was at 100% . I put in for Sundays games . And it wouldn’t turn on . I pulled the battery out and let it set overnight and then put in a battery right off the charger in on Monday morning and it came on. I don’t understand I took about 700 pics at a football game on Friday. Went to use it on Sunday and it didn’t come . Took the SIM card and battery out . Then Monday morning put the fresh battery in and it came on . I took it to Robert’s bought 2 new batteries Fridays game fresh battery stuck in the other new one at end of the game . Sunday nothing ! The battery I used on Friday was charged and I charged and used on Monday . I know I have repeated my self but I don’t know what to do with it ! I bought it in May warranty coming up fast . Thanks again Bcrowe
