R50 Shutoff when transferring via WIFI

rbaron28
Apprentice

Hello,

So as stated I have a canon R50 which previously has transferred photos without issue from the app connected wifi.  But now it's seemingly losing connection once I try to transfer.  I'll select the photos I want to import, and then hit import and the canon screen goes black (seemingly shut off no button reaction) and transfer fails.

Ive tried disconnecting/redownloading everything and no improvement.

Thanks!

Are you able to import by connecting a cable from the camera to your computer?

Yes

Well at least there's that and we know it's seemingly not the camera. I'm not an IT guy so my helpfulness is nil, but I'd wonder if there is a router issue given that I've experienced a router issue render hundreds of Chromebooks dead. I don't bother with wifi transfer at home because my internet service is so "enjoyable". Spectrum assures me my internet is lightning fast--it isn't--so I've given up. I look forward to hearing the solutions from the more experienced folks here. I hope your frustration is soon ended.
