My rebel t3i dial will not let me choose Tv mode, Av mode, M mode or a-dep mode. Any suggestions?

What are the symptoms? I.e., what does it do when you try to select those modes?

Tv all go back to P. Av will go to auto. M will go to flash off. A-dep will go to creative auto

If this is a camera wherewith you're not totally familiar, make sure you're reading the dial correctly. A few weeks ago we had a user with a complaint similar to yours, and it turned out that he was reading the dial 180 degrees out of phase because he didn't understand where the mark was.
