My flash on the Canon Rebel T1i isn't working at all.

I've had the Canon Rebel T1i for a while now. It's been working great up until about a month ago when the flash stopped working all together. I've tried many different things. I've tried putting it into the "CA" mode and turning on flash and auto flash, but it still doesn't work. The built in flash comes up but it just doesn't flash. I'm not a photographer, however I do use this camera A LOT. Is there some way to replace the flash or some way to fix it? Please help

The flash bilb may have burned out.  It can be replaced but not, likely, by you.  You need to find a camera repair shop and ask what it will cost.   (likely = guessing you are not an electronic repair person, sorry if you are)

And if the cost is comparable to that of a decent external speedlite, you may want to go that route instead. I'm starting to find that good lenses are getting so big (the Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS is a good example) that their shadow renders the built-in flash effectively useless.

Thank you!

Before sending it in, check your camera manual and find the reference about turning the flash off. There is an option on the menu to turn the flash off. Make sure it was not inadvertently set. When set your flash will not work even if it does pop up.
