My 7d Mark ii will not autofocus using the 1/2 pressed shutter.

My canon 7d mark ii all of the sudden with not auto focus using the 1/2 pressed shutter button. It wil focus unsing the back button. I reset the camera to factory settings. I will also autofocus in the 3 custom modes for some reason.

One my 1D Mark IV I need to also clear all custom settings to get back to original. Do you have this option in menus.

Yes sir. Tried that once but will do it again. Just updated firmware also. Same issue

No good. Auto focus does work on auto setting. Weird.

You have to go to C.Fn 5 (orange tab) and Clear all Custom Func. (C.Fn), I suspect you only Cleared the camera settings (yellow tab 4).
