I have a Canon model # DS126231. The mirror inside has been tampered with and when I go to take a picture the display is black. Do anyone know how to adjust the mirror or reset the camera.

Hello, and welcome to the Canon Community!
The mirror inside your camera is not adjustable. Are you sure that's what you mean?

Given that this is an SLR camera, you should be able to see through the viewfinder if the mirror is in the down position. So, is the mirror stuck in the "up" position?
Is that the "display" you're referring to or the display on the back of the camera?
What is the nature of the mirror being "tampered with"? How did it happen?
I have had cameras lock with the mirror up and the solution was fresh batteries. Is your battery a Canon battery? If it's charged, does it power up the camera? Are you able to try the battery in a different camera?

yes, so when i take a picture the camera normally make two shutter sound now it only do one shutter sound. And when I go to the display screen to view the picture it is black.

Is that the "display" you're referring to or the display on the back of the camera? Yes when you look at the photo the that was taken.
What is the nature of the mirror being "tampered with"? How did it happen? a child touch the mirror, during a photo shoot.

Also when taking a photo it only make one shutter sound instead of two.

And the shutter sound is weak, also the battery is at 100%.

When you take the picture, does the image in the viewfinder "blink"? If the viewfinder isn't "blinking" with each shot, then the mirror is not moving up and out of the way is my theory. Take the lens off the camera is look into the lens mount. Take a shot. If the mirror doesn't move then my theory is logical. If it goes up and down, my theory then would be that the shutter isn't firing once the mirror is up. I hope I am understanding correctly. My theory is offered as a hunch, but not direct, hands-on knowledge of fixing cameras. Good luck to you in your quest.
If the camera is not fixable I could suggest a very inexpensive way to replace it.
Keep us posted on what your discover.

If a child put their finger in the mirror box it is very unlikely that a reset will solve the problem.
Not worth having it repaired.
