Just upgraded to a Canon R5. Using a Sony CFExpress type b card. Have no card reader at this time for that card.
Using an Intel (2019) MacBook Pro, OS 14. There is no Canon EOS utility for my computer/camera setup that I can find.
How can I transfer images to my MacBook Pro using the USB cable that came with the camera (or WIFI) without having Canon EOS utility available?
This is a but of a bummer!

Since you have a MacBook you can use the Apple Image Capture application.
You will probably get a permission pop-up when you connect the USB device.

Does the EOS Utility 3.17.2 not work? It doesn't list Mac OS 14 as being supported (I run Mac OS 13.5) but could be worth trying... https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r5#idReference%3Dsoftware-drivers

Do your USB ports work?

Thanks! Does not seem to work on 14. Card reader comes soon then images will be able to go right to hard drive through Photo Mechanic Plus.

USB ports operate fine. Just did not see the R5 and didn't know to try Apple's Image Capture. Thanks!
