How can I determine the number of shutter activations on my Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III?

Unfortunately, the DSiRE website info says it does not work for the 1Ds Mark Iii, which is the camera I inquired about.

You can't!

 And the ones that say they can are not accurate.  Only Canon can tell you the correct number.

Thanks. Do you know whether a certified Canon dealer can do it, or only if I provide the camera to Canon?

"Only Canon (service) can tell you the correct number."

 

And if you send it in, you must request it.
