I just purchased an R6 Mark 3. The issue I am having is only in video mode. Normally, when you tap your shutter, you will see your auto focus come up for a spot focus. Works fine in photo mode. However, when I go to video, the shutter tap is not bringing up autofocus. If I hit the AF-ON button, it will show the autofocus, but not the shutter. What steps do I need to do to bring this up when I tap the shutter. Any help is appreciated

Greetings.
Did you purchase a new or used camera? If new, did you purchase the camera from a Canon Factory Authorized Dealer?
Video modes don’t fire the shutter like photo mode. Video modes use Start and Stop. By default, the red button on top of the camera is Start / Stop control for video recording.

On the Mark ii to get this to work, I have to switch the top Mode Dial to SCN. This allows me to choose an AF area other than whole area in Menu 1, then on Menu 3 "Focus Guide" set to On. Try those setting on your Mark iii and see if it works. Please report back and let us know if that worked or not and what settings did work out for you.
