Hello everyone,
I was wondering does Canon trade-ins for their cameras for new ones for I have a Rebel t3 and T5 that I no longer use and wonder if I trade them in would it help me with getting a mirrorless camera?

I'm pretty sure Canon does not have any trade-in programs.
What you could try is B&H Used Department to sell back your cameras. Then use the generated store credit towards your new purchase. Another used-site is keh.com though do compare with B&H or other places to ensure you'll get the best deal.

I do not know what they told you. Contact Canon USA directly. This is only a user forum.

"I have a Rebel t3 and T5 ..."
Don't expect to get anywhere near enough to purchase a new R camera. The Loyalty program is geared at non-working cameras and is pretty low but at least Canon offers it while other companies do not.
