Howdy! Recently I switched over my camera AF method settings on my Rebel T7 from FlexiZoneAF to quick mode so I can capture auto focused photos faster using the screen viewing feature. Unfortunately, the photos I take in that one setting to not saving. The shutter also sounds slightly different. Anyone had this same issue or have tips for solving it? I appreciate any help:)

Hello Strozier,
When you use the [Quick Mode] AF option, that initial instance when you press the shutter button (should be half-way) where the live view image turns off and you hear what sounds like the shutter releasing to take an image is only the camera performing the autofocus. No picture is taken at that point. When focus is achieved, you should get a green AF point and the live view image will reappear. At this point, press the shutter button completely to take the picture.
