I just recently got a canon EOS 60d for Christmas. This is my first camera, and I am very much a beginner. For some reason the photos will not save to the camera... I have tried all the different modes, changed settings, made sure the SD card had space. The only thing saving to the camera is videos. I am not sure what to try next or how to fix it... any ideas?

Have you tried to format the card in the camera? Is it a full size card or a micro card with adapter?

Kinleyd,
Just for the heck of it, get a 64gb card. They run about $20, and you can get one at Walmart or Best Buy.
Format it in the camera. See what happens.

It is a regular size card, I am going to try to format it into the camera. Thank you so much!

You should ALWAYS format your memory card in the camera it is to be used in. A card that has been formatted on a computer, and not in camera afterward, may not work reliably or at all.

What brand, type, and storage capacity card are you using?
I believe the 60D can only use SD and SDHC cards. That means 32GB or smaller. The SDXC cards, 64GB and up, are not compatible.
