EOS Rebel T7 LCD screen went black

Hello, I purchased my Canon EOS Rebel T7 back in August 2020.  I didn't begin using it until May 2022 when I became interested in wildlife (specifically birds) photography.  It's been a great camera until this point.  Recently, I had the LCD screen suddenly go blank.  It appeared the camera was still taking photos, although it was beeping.  I read a suggestion in the forum to do a hard reset.  It miraculously cured the problem.  I used the camera a few times since without issue.  Suddenly today, the LCD screen went black again.  Any idea what's going on?

Hello, it has been several months, and I've been using my Canon Rebel T7 without further issue.  Initially, I replaced the battery which was probably due.  As well, I had done a hard reset.  Ultimately, I found the resolve was to disable the "Auto Power Off" under Tab 2.  With everything, I am happy to report that it's working like a charm.

Pretty old thread to respond to but.....🤔

"I even tried updating to the latest firmware and it still has the issue."

Besides not ever going to help it would be a real trick to do if the LCD screen went "blank". Even if you have a working LCD screen updating the FW on a malfunctioning camera is a bad idea a very bad idea.

I found that I can temporarily get the screen to display by holding down the shutter release button while turning on the camera.  Then I can access the menu.  But as soon as you press the shutter release button again (even a half way press), the screen goes blank again.
