EOS Rebel T7 LCD screen blank

I have been having issues with my display screen not showing up and giving me a black screen. I have done some trouble shooting by hitting the display screen button but it is still not showing anything. I can still take pictures but cannot view the images once I have taken photos. I cannot adjust the brightness or anything because my display screen is black. Has anyone else had this happen?

Hello Trobs40,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your camera's LCD screen. Let's try a hard reset of the camera. Remove everything. The battery, lens, card and anything on the hotshoe, if applicable. Close the compartments and switch the power to the [ON] position. Press and hold the shutter button for 30 seconds. Switch the power to [OFF]. Clean the contacts on the battery, lens, and memory card with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Then, follow up with these next steps. Go ahead and put the battery back in only, make sure it has a good charge. Set the camera to [P] mode and [ON] (Photo mode). Are you able to access the menu on the LCD screen with just the battery in? If not, then the camera will need to be serviced. If things seem normal, let's try the lens next. You may also want to try a different lens if possible. Finally, the memory card. You can also try a different memory card as well.
