I'm going to be in New Mexico next week for the hot air balloon fiesta. I need help with my settings and which camera lenses to use in order to take clear and colorful pictures there. Please help!!

You are too late. The Fiesta is this week. We just watched the Mass Ascension over the weekend.
That said, P mode has worked fine for me.

As for lenses, my 18-135 was great for general walking around, while the 70-300 is handy when you are shooting balloons kinda far away *outside* of the park.

What camera do you own please post the FULL model name.

Usually the EF 75-300mm or EF-S 55-250mm lenses comes in Rebel kits. Not the EF 70-300mm lens.

Thanks I have been to a lot of them. Too bad Canon and the Fiesta had a falling out, or you could have had a free cleaning.
