EOS Rebel T5. How can I use an alternative power source to the battery?

I need to use the liveview for continous use for the camera. The camera needs to last 3 to 5 hours at a time. Is there a way to get around just battery use?

The adapter is a dummy module shaped to fit into the battery compartment, but has a cord (a small rubber flap at the edge of the battery door flips open to make room for the power cord.)  It runs off AC power.
