sderworiz

Let me try and explain.

EOS RP set to Movie. USBC to my PC. Using OBS, there is a slight sync issue where the video is behind the audio. Any suggestion to add a delay or something to the audio?

thx!

If you are taking video from the EOS RP using USB-C, what software is then providing the video feed to OBS? Are you using the Canon EOS Webcam Utility?

How are you putting the audio in to OBS, is that with a mic connected directly to the computer, or with a mic plugged in to the EOS RP?

I know that when the camera sends video and audio in the same HDMI cable that the two will be in sync, but when I feed HDMI from a camera, and audio separately in to a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro there is a lag between video and audio. Fortunately the AtEM Mini allows me to set an offset in frames to overcome this.

Camera source into OBS only for video

Audio is coming through a USB connected MIC for the stream.

When I watch the live feed in OBS, the delay in video to what I'm actually doing is visible.

You may need to add a delay to the audio input to match the video.

Setting an Audio Delay in OBS
  1. Add an audio source or microphone. An audio delay can be applied to any audio source, including videos.
  2. Click the cog next to an audio source in 'mixer' The 'advanced audio properties' allows you to set a delay on all audio sources.
  3. Set an audio delay with a negative value. Please note that the delay is in milliseconds.
