EOS R8 Lines through camera screen and photos/videos

Hi everyone, I’m currently on vacation and was taking photos of a show and I always shut my camera off when not using. I turned it on and suddenly these lines showed up and when I upload my photos/videos to my iPad they are there as well. They don’t show up when I’m going through my settings or looking at old photos.

I have a canon r8 with a 50m lens. But even when I take the lens off, the lines are still there

Anyone know a fix or what the problem is?

This sounds like you have a bad sensor sorry to say.  Sensors normally will have a few bad pixels and this can be compensated for within the camera.  But when an entire row of pixels fail it normally means that the output transistor or lead for that row or column has failed.  You might be able to run a sensor bad pixel map routine on your camera to see if that will compensate for your problem, but I suspect you will need to send your camera in for service.

Could you upload JPG files of the images in your posted images?

Take a raw file and use a filehost to share it. If it is damaged due to laser it should be easy to see.
