Greetings Ccoco555,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having connection issues between your EOS R7 camera and your Windows 11 computer. Let's check and ensure that the camera is running on the latest firmware which provides support for the lens you are trying to use with the camera.

You may click on the following link to visit the product support page for the EOS R7 where you may download the latest firmware. Step by step instructions are included in the download file to assist you with updating the firmware on the camera.

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r7

After updating the firmware, let's test to see if the computer will communicate with the camera through EOS Utility. For example, once connected, let's check to see if you are able to shoot remotely or download images from the camera to your computer via Wi-Fi.

If possible, please test a different lens with the camera to see if the connection can be established. We would also suggest on testing to see if the camera is able to connect to a different computer via Wi-Fi. This would help to determine if there may be something on the first computer that is causing an issue, even after you have turned off the firewall. For example, check to see if there is any VPN service running on the computer.

In case the above steps do not help resolve the issue, then sometimes things can be more efficiently resolved by discussing the issue in real time with a live agent. Given the nature of this particular issue, we would recommend for you to call our tech support department by phone. Technical support can be reached at 1-800-652-2666 between Monday and Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST.

Hello Ccoco555,

It sounds like your computer is recognizing the camera. Are seeing any error messages on the camera or computer when the camera is connected and you are trying to access it via the EOS Utility software? If so, what does it say specifically? I have attached a link to the setup process HERE so that you can verify that you are going through the correct steps.
