EOS R7 How to Create Panning Photos Using the Articulating Screen

I am the owner of the original R7 body with the 18-150mnm kit lens.

I would like to create panning photos but with the screen flipped out the

camera's settings appear when I press the shutter button halfway. How can I

maintain the live view throughout the shot?

lovetoshoot2023,

I have a T8i and I don't know if the process is the same for your camera, but if I cycle through the INFO button, the settings screen will disappear after about three presses.

Steve,

Yes, that solves that issue of the settings on the screen. Now how can I maintain the live view during the panning without the screen going black after the shutter button has been pressed? Otherwise I'm just guessing as to what I'll be including in the shot.

Greetings,

You can also make adjustments to your power management settings.  One or both should help.

lovetoshoot2023,

I don't know if this will help, but some people will fire off a burst of shots as they pan along.
