Since it is a 24.2 Megapixel camera and you get a 1.6x crop factor with an EF-S lens, that would be 15.1 Megapixels.

That's what I first calculated as well.  But I forgot that the 1.6 crop factor applies in two dimensions.  So you need to divide by 1.6 squared or 2.56.  So 24 MP becomes 9.375 MP which is close to what is shown by the chart Rick provided.

Aaah! I missed the fact that there is a squared term since the 1.6 factor is linear. but Megapixels is area.
