I've been using Canon cameras for video for the past 15 years.
When I bought the Canon R6 Mark II, I was very surprised by the fact that an incredibly useful function such as Attenuator was removed from the sound settings. She helped me out a lot. Especially when shooting reportage videos in automatic mode. When it is not possible to control the sound in real time.
I use on-camera microphones such as the Rode Videomic NTG. And with the Attenuator function turned off, it starts producing background noise. An attenuator corrected this problem.
Please tell me, is it possible to expect the return of this incredible feature in subsequent software updates of the camera?

Shooting mode are you using to shoot video? The automatic expoure modes may not allow for the use of manual control of audio levels.

On R5 and R6. I use the automatic level recording mode + Attenuator. And then the sound is clear.
On R6 Mark II there is no such option.
