Doing a grad shoot soon and I want my photos to save to my memory card on my R6 and my iPad Air/ lightroom so I can do a quick review of lighting etc on the fly so I don’t have to look at my smaller screen after a few shots. I’ll be using a Canon R6. I’m sure I can find a stand/holder for the iPad. But what cords would I need etc?

if you can get this to work, that would be amazing. I’ve done this before with the Canon app Camera Connect, but maintaining the connection throughout a shoot, has proven impossible for me to date.
if you do find a solution for this, please let me know. I would use this often myself

Hi theperfectplex,
The EOS R6 is not able to connect to mobile devices like your iPad through a cable connection. You can set it up to import photos to your iPad through the Canon Camera Connect app and a wireless connection.
Information on how to setup the wifi connection is on pages 557-567 of the camera manual and information on setting up automatic image transfer is on pages 575-576. If you need a copy of the current manual it is available HERE. Once you are on the web page click on the Manuals button and the one to reference is named EOS R6 Advanced User Guide.
Through Canon support we only have information on Canon products and software, so for information on Lightroom we would recommend contacting Adobe.
