EOS R50 not recognizing USB

 having trouble getting camera to be recognized. the pictures are what im using to connect to my computer. i have the eos webcam utility downloaded. i went into setting in camera and chose video/livestreaming as i saw in a youtube video and went into OBS ans chose video capture device. nothing is happening. i have macbook m1 sonoma v14. camera is updated as well. any help would be appreciated also i have the canon r50

To use the streaming / webcam feature of the EOS R50 you need to connect it to the computer with the USB-C connection on the camera to the USB port on the computer.

The images in the post above show a HDMI cable and a USB-C to HDMI adapter. These are not suitable for the Video call / streaming function.

ok so the hdmi cords will not work and just use the usb. understood and will try thx
