EOS R5 image edge smearing

Some (certainly not all) of my images have the edges "ripping" or "smearing." Is this a known issue?

No, it is not common.

24-240 (Canon).

My bad ... seems it is a lens correction from Adobe Lightroom. Remove the correction, smearing goes away. Probably something to bring to Adobe's attention!

Funny that it is only SOME of the images and not all of them...

The differences could be related to the focal length in use, or even exposure settings.
