EOS R5 Mark II LCD screen doesn't show live image

Canon R5 ii viewfinder working. Screen working for playback but not for shooting. Screen/viewfinder display set to auto2.

Was working fine. I must have touched a button (on the body, not in the menu) but now don't know how to get the display back for shooting.

Figured it out. I got the screen for shooting back by multiple presses of the AF-ON button, which I have configured to Direct AF area selection. Some of those presses might have been long ones, and it's possible that my knuckle simultaneously touched the magnifier button.

At this point it doesn't matter much because I've got my screen back, but if it happens again I'll try to pay closer attention, and will update here with whatever else I learn.

Thanks all. Now I can sleep!

ChatGPT and Google Gemini offer the same boilerplate suggestions, all of which I'd already tried. Firmware is at 1.0.2.

Screen for shooting went dark just after I'd been reviewing some shots, only viewing and enlarging, but must have inadvertently tapped some sequence of back buttons to have precipitated this major annoyance.

Will be so grateful to learn how to get the screen back -- for now and if it happens again!
