I’m almost finished reading manual and asking these amateur questions, I have hit two settings that puzzle me. One not so much important, but manual states that the camera should maintain connection with WiFi even when it’s off, well my r10 does not do that and I was wondering if I’m doing something wrong, is there some malfunction? As soon as the screen goes dark the connection to WiFi and app is lost, even without flipping switch to off. Camera maintains connection with Bluetooth but lose connection to WiFi very easily when screen goes off.
similarly manual states camera can send images to phone via Bluetooth, but this is not possible and this error appears if not paired with WiFi, unless some changes with firmware update were introduced my camera is it doing these things.
Also I came across this feature , speee from metering ISOauto
both settings in av mode I tried behave in same way, when I press shutter button it locks iso and restores auto after releasing, in both setting instances. I’ll be very grateful for explanation of this setting .

You might want to be sure your product is registered and contact Canon support directly.
Canon Support for EOS R10 | Canon U.S.A., Inc.
This forum is a great resource, but getting a resolution requires 1. someone with your device and 2. that person(s) knowing the response.
Could be a longer wait than contacting Canon directly.

Thank you, I wanted to contact canon after confirming if this is my error or gear malfunction.

I have the EOS R10. With my camera I can connect to it and download an image to my phone even when the power switch is turned off and the camera is out of sight next to me in my camera bag.
The key for this is that both Bluetooth and wifi are left switched on. Since I already linked the phone and camera before then the EOS R10 shows up in the Camera Connect App and I can select to view and download images. The phone is able to wakeup the camera via Bluetooth and then establish a wireless connection between the camera and phone to download the images.
Secondly I can hep you with your question about the Speed from metering / ISO Auto.
When using auto ISO the default choice will mean that the camera resets itself to auto ISO if you had overridden the ISO using one of the control dials. The other option means that the ISO you selected will remain active, in effect when you override ISO auto you have switched to manual ISO.
The EOS R10 does not have an ISO dial with the default dial configuration. Go to customise dials, and change the quick control dial from Av to ISO. Then with the camera set to auto ISO, half press the shutter to activate the metering and use your thumb to rotate the quick control dial. You'll see the ISO changes to your chosen value, but to the left of the numbers is a grey AUTO icon. If you lift off the shutter the metering timer will expire in 6 seconds and then the ISO will be reset to AUTO ISO.

Great thank you, I have contacted canon by now and wait their email reply.
I will post a short video soon in comment here to show how that happens on my camera, with both Bluetooth and wifi enabled on both phone and camera , perhaps I’m doing some error.

Just for reference I'm using an iPhone, are you using Android?

Yes iPhone 12.
best to my knowledge everything is ok , like it’s connected with Bluetooth and WiFi network to EOS (name) and both icons on canon app are blue indicating connection, as soon as screen goes dark due to power saving settings or switched off connection is lost and I have to connect manually again going through all procedure.
im also unable to send images via Bluetooth as per manual , must be WiFi .

so I recorded a video but 300 mb is too large not only to post here but for majority of free versions of services to post link , I made screenshots instead.
i connect via access point , camera asks me to connect to WiFi which I’m not sure if it should do automatically but never does in my case, then open app and connection is established. As soon as screen goes off I lose all connections. Am I doing something different than you with your connection?
im still waiting for canon to reply
