EOS R10 - connection error

I've suddenly stopped being able to import pictures from my camera to my phone.

It's connected but when it tries connecting to wifi it tries for a long time then stops with the message 'could not connect to wifi check camera settings'....and the camera has err11 and says connection target not found.

I think I may need a firmware update . I was never prompted to do that and now I do not have access to a computer only phone. I do not have a seperate SD card with no pictures that I can use either.

I'm travelling for a year and not returning to Australia until November. I can't call up for support.
Thanks

Hello KarenS22,

The error 11 message indicates that there is an issue with connecting via the access point being used. This LINK provides more information on that. Let's try clearing the WI-FI settings on the camera and re-establishing the connection. You can clear these settings in the purple antenna menu by selecting [Reset communication settings]. If you have paired the camera via Bluetooth with the smartphone, on the smartphone's settings screen, delete the connection information of the camera as well.

Greetings,

In addition to what John_Q mention, please delete the saved Camera Profile in the Canon Connect App using the Hamburger Menu  (horizontal bars).  Then perform the repairing process.  Start by ensuring the camera is broadcasting its SSID name and password.  Now perform the pairing steps.

You do not need a firmware update in order for your mobile device to connect to your camera.  Connecting to the camera has been supported from the R10's release.  I would suggest resolving the existing issue before making changes, like a firmware upgrade.
