EOS R histogram

I like to use the histogram in the EVF and on the back screen. Is there a possibility to "shrink" the histogram somehow? It is realy very big compared to thehistogram in my Fuji X series camera.

Yes, see page 400 of the User Manual.  You can pick between large and small.

That works well.  Any way to hide the histogram?

You should be able to press on the INFO button to cycle through the various display modes; one being the mode where no histogram will be displayed.
