I have found many posts about this issue but haven't been able to find a solution that works for me. I have a 60D, has worked flawlessly for many years, but recently started having this issue.
Here is what I have tried:
Anyone got any advice here? Canon has unfortunately ended service for this model, so no help there. Hoping I don't have a brick on my hands.
TIA.

Only 1 photo at a time.

I did try to shoot a photo fully automatic mode. My camera has a green box (no A+ in it) as the icon for full auto, but yeah, I tried that.

Any suggestions on where to take it for service? Canon's website makes it seem as though there is no service available for the 60D.

If it does not work in AUTO mode, then I’m afraid that it really sounds like your 60D is in need of repair or replacement. I think a replacement or upgrade is the best path.
I do not know if Canon USA is still repairing the 60D. I would be surprised if they still are. Even if they were, the cost to repair would far exceed to buy a used 60D. They are currently selling for $200 to $250 at KEH and B&H. 🥲

I see you have the best of the best helping to troubleshoot this issue. Respectfully, have you considered retiring or replacing this 14 yr old camera? A replacement in EX+ condition is $229. Please consider placing value on your time. The time you are spending not taking photos.
