EOS 5D Memory Card Formatting Issue

I have a 5D with a brand new, fully charged battery and a brand new memory card. Turn on the camera, go to format and the camera states that it is busy formatting. It’s been that way for 20 minutes. I turned off the camera, removed the battery and memory card, return them, turn the camera back on and start the formatting again and it still says busy. What am I missing. Thank you for any help with this issue.

Have you tried using a different CF to see if your current one is faulty.

Also inspect the pins inside the camera with a flashlight to make sure there NOT bent either.

5D needs firmware 1.1.1 to be able to use larger CF cards
