Hello, brand new Canon user after 20+ years of another brand. 5D Mark IV because I love DSLR. Anyway, is there a way to set the multi-controller button so that it is always enabled to move the AF point? Without having to hit the AF Point Selection button first? I don't like that I have to hit two different buttons with my thumb to move the focus point. It takes too much time to hit two different buttons sometimes.

Yes you can but custom controls can be set to use the multi-controller this is how I have my camera setup. Check pages 495, 503 & 504 of the manual for more info on custom controls. 5D Mark IV manual
