EOS R50 with Third Party EF Lens

Hello! Has anyone tried to mount EF lenses on the R50 with the lens mount and is it okay? (e.g. AF, Video). I currently have an extra Yongnuo 50mm and was wondering if it's a good idea to just buy a converter and use it as an extra lens, or is saving for a canon rf lens better? Thank you!

You'd definitely need an EF to RF adapter and should use the Canon branded ones.  Having said that, Canon cannot guarantee compatibily with third-party lenses via the adapters.  It may or may not work.

I would definitely recommend saving up for RF lenses.  Or, using Canon EF/EF-S lenses with Canon adapters.
