Reset all menu options. Firmware v1.8.1
Shooting in manual mode. All initial autofocus points/zones movement with joystick works as expected. After photo is taken, points/zone won't move. Selecting next focus function re-enables movement.

By default the EOS R6 does not allow the AF point or zone to be moved just be simply moving the joystick. You have to press the AF point button and then use the joystick. However there is a custom setting that can be used with the joystick - I wish it was the default, but it's not.
You need to enable direct AF point selection for the multi controller. Below is the screens showing the steps to do this.
