HI there. I have the EOS 40D model DS126171 purchased in 2014 by my late husband. It has not been used since. It has been stored very well. It is not powering on. It has the extended battery pack. I have replaced all the batteries, tried without the extended battery pack and nothing. Any ideas?

I also own the EOS 40D but I don't use a battery grip. The camera has a switch that detects whether the battery door is closed or not. So if its open or the switch is malfunctioning that will cause the camera not to power up. Also remove the lens and the CF Card to see if it would power up.
