My EOS 4000D is new but while trying to import an MOV file to both IOS and Android, I get a message saying the file is not supported. Why is this? And how can I change it?

Hi there!

The EOS 4000D is not a US model, is it possible you have the US version, the Rebel T100?

If you are not in the US, our community is welcome to chime in, however you will not be able to receive support from Canon USA directly. You can find support for your region HERE.

LoriniNight,

It may be that your operating systems do not support the .Mov format,

Try copying the file to a computer and using a free video converter program, convert the file to a format that your device can use, like .MP4. There are plenty of free video converter programs out there.

Despite the fact that Apple created the MOV format, iPhones do not support it.

I managed to copy it to one drive then access the file on my phone and save it to my phone. No converting needed
